THE Pittsburgh Steelers will give a tryout to an NFL record-holder wide receiver to potentially give Aaron Rodgers a deep threat in the offense.

The Steelers need depth at the wide receiver position with just two-and-a-half weeks until the regular season.

Mike Tomlin and his Pittsburgh squad traded for two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf in an offseason deal with the Seattle Seahawks .

However, the Steelers still have a less-than-desirable wideout room after Metcalf due to the team trading star George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys .
