Republican candidate Stephanie Donegan, running in Georgia’s Senate District 21 special election, shared a video on her Instagram Story in June titled “The Transatlantic Slave Trade is fake history (Part 1).” The video, flagged by MeidasTouch at the time, features rapper Waka Flocka and others denying African ancestry among Black Americans and rejecting the historical record of slavery.
