ST. LOUIS — An artificial intelligence company will relocate to the former Post-Dispatch building in downtown St. Louis as part of an effort to grow its work in national security.

San Francisco-based Scale AI, which employs 250 people here, will open its new lab at Tucker Boulevard and Cole Avenue in October. The company — which netted a $14 billion investment from Facebook parent company Meta earlier this summer — focuses on data labeling and model evaluation to help customers accelerate their own AI technology. It previously was located about a half-dozen blocks south.

Its new St. Louis location, now called The Post Building, will focus on critical geospatial data needs for the U.S. government, the company said in a release.
