'Not to be eaten': Argument over steak leads to man stabbing his mother, stepdad, cops say

A Florida man stabbed his mother and stepfather after she confronted him about cooking a steak that was "not to be eaten until the next day," cops say.

The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. Friday when Fort Lauderdale police received calls about a naked man, bleeding and running around in the area of SW 28th Street and SW 15th Avenue, a probable cause arrest affidavit said. Cops found the man, who then told them that he and his wife had been stabbed at their nearby home.

Officers barged into the home and found the suspect, 34-year-old Jose Monier IV. They also discovered his mother suffering from "multiple life-threatening stab wounds," cops wrote.
