HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro brushed aside questions Tuesday about Republican Treasurer Stacy Garrity announcing a bid to become the next governor, saying he’s instead focused on the budget stalemate and repercussions for kids and adults in Philadelphia, where public transit is facing service cuts and fare hikes.
“I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: They’re going to have their intramural fight, they’ll send someone along next year to face me and we’ll be ready,” Shapiro said during an event at the Department of Labor & Industry.
