FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) -- Mabel, a 2-year-old rescue from Frederick, is competing to be People Magazine's World's Cutest Rescue Dog.

The basset hound was previously found roaming the streets before being adopted by Sara Hoffman and selected to be one of the top 10 finalists for the competition.
