Staten Island’s Jacob Bradley and Avery Rosado made history of sorts with the New York Red Bulls Academy U-16 squad during the Next Generation Trophy 2025, which was held in in Salzburg, Austria, from Aug. 14-16.

Although the team lost in the championship match of the annual international youth tournament -- which has been hosted by the Red Bull Football Academy since 2009 -- it was the furthest a Red Bull team ever advanced in the prestigious tournament.

Despite the title-game loss, Red Bulls U-16 head coach Simon Nee was proud with what the team accomplished.
