GREELEY — A Weld District Court judge Monday denied a credit union’s motion to enforce a pact with the troubled Future Legends sports complex in Windsor, supporting its owners’ argument that the matter “involves a settlement agreement that never was.”

In an Aug. 8 filing made on behalf of seven Future Legends entities, the owners contended that they and Albuquerque, New Mexico-based U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union could not agree to all material terms, and that the settlement — part of a bankruptcy filing in Nevada — was never finalized. The bankruptcy case was eventually dismissed.
