The Schuylkill River Trail under the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, and Thursday, Aug. 21, this week to allow for the removal of temporary metal shielding, Philadelphia officials said.
City officials said the removal will allow for the bridge's structural steel to be painted, which will move the $20 million revitalization project on the MLK Bridge closer to completion.

The city announced the following detour instructions for the overnight closures:
