Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles has received a 10-game suspension for his outburst that included throwing his bat at a pitcher during a rehab game with the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers, the league announced in a release Tuesday.

The suspension must be served at the MLB level and will begin when Robles was first activated to the major league roster. However, Robles has elected to appeal the suspension, meaning the discipline will not go into effect until the appeal process has been completed.
Seattle Sports Mariners insider Shannon Drayer reported on social media that suspension appeals “typically happen soon after the player asks for the appeal.”
