(NewsNation) — A Georgia teen who allegedly killed her mother and stepfather was denied bond Tuesday, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, was arrested July 8 after her parents, Kristen and James Brock, were found shot to death in their beds back in February. Authorities said Patrick had called 911 after the couple’s 5-year-old daughter discovered their bodies. Officials said the couple died from apparent gunshot wounds.
The bond hearing, which lasted two hours, had supporters of Sarah Grace Patrick describing her as a churchgoing woman who was respectful and hardworking.
"Hurting someone simply isn’t in her nature or character," said one of Patrick's supporters. "She remained incredibly kind, respectful and especially patient."
