The Indianapolis Colts have been searching for an answer at quarterback since Andrew Luck retired just before the 2019 NFL season. Luck had an All-Pro 2018 season, passing for 4,593 yards, with a .673 completion percentage, 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. The Colts reached the divisional round of the AFC playoffs.

The Colts have gone 48-52-1 from 2019-24 with one playoff appearance (2020) and no AFC South titles.

Daniel Jones has been named their starter for 2025 over third-year player Anthony Richardson . In Week 1, Jones will become the 11th player to start in the past six-plus seasons.
