The San Francisco 49ers' preseason win over the Las Vegas Raiders proved costly with multiple players landing on season-ending injured reserve afterward.

A day after former first-rounder Andre Dillard's season was shut down before it started, the 49ers announced that running back Patrick Taylor Jr. would also be placed on injured reserve . Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Taylor dislocated his shoulder and will require season-ending surgery.

Undrafted in 2020, Taylor spent four seasons with the Green Bay Packers before landing in San Francisco last season. With Christian McCaffrey sidelined last season, Taylor played in 13 games and made one start, totaling 183 yards rushing and a touchdown on 39 carries.
