South African artist Daniel Popper’s latest sculpture, entitled “The Flame” is now on display outside the REMI Scottsdale hotel, 4415 N. Buckboard Trail.

Known for his works that explore the interconnectedness of nature and humanity, Popper describes “The Flame” as “a tribute to the transformative power of authenticity,” according to a press release.

The 17-foot sculpture, crafted from glass fiber reinforced by concrete and brass, contemplates fire’s power both to consume and renew.

Commissioned by Stockdale Capital Partners and Premium Point Development, in collaboration with Scottsdale Public Art and the City of Scottsdale’s Cultural Improvements Program, the installation was designed to become a gathering point for residents and visitors.
