CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas — A teenager was arrested Monday night after leading multiple East Texas agencies on a high-speed chase through Cherokee County.

Hannah Sweet, 19, is charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance after she sped away from an officer trying to make a traffic stop. Sweet drove away on U.S. Highway 69 southbound near the Smith and Cherokee County line, according to the Bullard Police Department.

Cherokee County Sheriff Brent Dickson said Sweet reached speeds of up to 110 mph.

The chase ended near the Covenant Church in Rusk. Her bond has been set at $30,000, police said.
