James Chrisley has been appointed as the new director of aviation for the Clark County Department of Aviation, officials said today in a news release.

He replaces Rosemary Vassiliadis, who retired after leading the department since 2013.

Chrisley, a veteran aviation executive with more than 30 years of experience, will oversee the county’s five-airport system that generates more than $35 billion in annual economic activity. The network includes Harry Reid International Airport, ranked among the top 10 busiest airports in North America, along with Henderson Executive Airport, North Las Vegas Airport, Jean Sport Aviation Center and Overton-Perkins Field.
