SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Springfield Public Schools students joined many across the Ozarks in heading back to class.
Superintendent Grenita Lathan kicked off the first day by visiting schools, accompanied by Jessica Harmison-Olson. She was selected to shadow Dr. Lathan as Superintendent for the Day. Dr. Lathan explained the importance of the Superintendent for the Day.
“We want to be as open and as transparent as possible at Springfield Public Schools and I want our business leaders to see the positive things that are happening and also see the challenges we are experiencing and also pick their brain for great ideas for ways that we can enhance the educational services that we provide our students,” said Dr. Lathan.
