MANCHESTER, N.H. —
As New Hampshire students head back to school, families are saying they're dealing with rising costs.
U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas, D-New Hampshire, met with families and local leaders Tuesday at the Boys and Girls Club in Manchester.
Two mothers discussed giving up their jobs because of either the cost of child care or to focus on learning more about their child's autism. Both said the cost of supplies adds up.
"We have this back-to-school shopping list. It is long," said mother Gayle Hoisington. "But we've been lucky in the last two years to have support from going to grandparents in purchasing things. It's not ideal."
