DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation into the disappearance of newborn photographer and mother of five Kayla Bailey, according to a press release sent Tuesday.
Bailey's family spoke with First Coast News Monday, expressing their fear that something that happened to her. Her mother, Lisa Lucas, says she would never leave her family.
Now, JSO says that they believe Bailey is in danger, and is asking for the community's help determining her safety.
"If somebody has her, please let them find it in their heart to let her go," Lucas said. "This is not her character. She would never, ever, ever leave these kids. She wouldn't do this to me."
JSO says Bailey was last seen at her home on Maxville Boulevard Sunday night.
