KINGSTON, N.Y. — City police are investigating a fire at Loughran Park during the early morning of Tuesday, Aug. 19.

The Kingston Police Department said in a social media post on Tuesday, Aug. 19, that the Kingston Fire Department was called to the city park at 50 Charlotte St. at 3 a.m. and found that a dugout was on fire.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, authorities said

The exact cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation, police said.
