LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Another round of dangerous heat is gripping the commonwealth, prompting Kentuckians to find relief where they can.
Louisville Metro’s mobile hydration station is making the rounds on Tuesday, pouring cold water.
“Hey, would you like some water?” Tristan Perry, who works for Metro’s Homeless Engagement and Assessment Response Team, said. “It’s free.”
Before noon, Perry was posted up at 4th and Liberty streets.
“Places where people tend to be, more high-traffic areas for not just people who are experiencing homelessness but just people in the community,” he said.
Perry says that handing out free water is also a way to connect residents with other stabilizing resources.
