Defenseman Dru Krebs and forward Paxton Leroux will be a part of the Komets' roster when training camp opens in October, the team announced Tuesday.
The Komets, now up to 20 players, signed both the youngest player in 22-year-old Dru and added a veteran in 32-year-old Leroux.
“Dru is a solid skater and very skilled defenseman that just adds to an already dynamic blueline,” coach Jesse Kallechy said in a team press release. “Paxton is as tough as they come, who will certainly give us a physical presence on the ice.”
Krebs played 58 games with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in his pro debut last season on top of two games with the Ontario Reign of the AHL. Krebs had two goals and 10 assists in Greenville.
Before his pro debut, Krebs played five seasons in the WHL with the Medicine Hat Tige
