A Birmingham murder suspect who fled to New Orleans was arrested Monday in Central City, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Harold Dailey, 35, was apprehended in the 1100 block of Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard by the FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force and the FBI New Orleans Violent Crime Squad, as well as Third District NOPD officers, court records show. He was booked into Orleans Justice Center on an out-of-state warrant.
Dailey is accused of fatally shooting Birmingham man John Byron Roulaine, 51, at around 5 a.m. on Aug 11 as Roulaine sat in his van in the 5500 block of First Avenue North in the parking lot of his workplace, a staffing agency, according to reporting by AL.com.
Dailey will be held without bond, Orleans Parish Criminal District Court records show.
