EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A wanted man was arrested and taken into custody after law enforcement searched a construction site in East El Paso County and found him hiding behind some plywood, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.

Jose Angel Enriquez, 35, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 19 at a construction site along the 10300 block of Desert Oak Court, the Sheriff's Office said.

He was wanted on the following charges: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; and discharge of a firearm within the city limits.

Enriquez had been featured on El Paso's Most Wanted list for the week of July 25.

Sheriff's deputies and deputies from the Constable's Office for Precinct 6 worked together on the investigation.
