Showers and storms have again brought heavy rain to parts of New Mexico Tuesday afternoon. The Albuquerque Metro briefly picked up heavy rainfall today, but our chance for rain through this evening is much lower now. Storms will continue to move to the southwest through this evening before ending overnight.
Drier air starts moving into New Mexico Wednesday, but we will still see isolated showers and storms in northern, western, and southern parts of the state. A couple of these storms in southeast New Mexico could turn strong. There will be a similar chance for rain Thursday afternoon.
