A woman wanted in a shooting Monday that injured a man at a California Closets business in Huntington Beach was killed later that morning in a police shooting in South Gate, authorities said.

In a statement released Wednesday, Huntington Beach police said California Closets employee Lucero San Pedro-Castro, 29, of Baldwin Park, left the scene in Orange County after the shooting and drove about 30 miles to the southern Los Angeles County community of South Gate.

Los Angeles Sheriff's Department sources told NBC4 Investigates Monday that the car at the scene of the South Gate shooting was the same car seen at the location of the Huntington Beach shooting.
