NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK)-- A new Amazon delivery station is set to be built in East Texas, according to the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDC).

The new facility will be built in Nacogdoches and is estimated to be 63,000 square feet. The facility is expected to be built along Highway 59 North between FM 343 and Ernest McLain Road.

Nacogdoches Mayor Randy Johnson spoke about the opening of the new delivery station and the economic benefits the new facility will provide.

"The opening of Amazon's last-mile delivery station in Nacogdoches marks a step forward for our local economy," Johnson said. "This investment brings jobs and increased connectivity to our region, reinforcing that Nacogdoches is open for business.
