This Tuesday, Gamescom kicked off with one of the most anticipated announcements for indie game fans: Geoff Keighley confirmed with 100% certainty that Hollow Knight Silksong will finally be released this year.

On August 19th, at an event opening where it seemed like Geoff Keighley was ready to drop the date at any second, we were given the information: “I can finally tell you that… Silksong will truly and definitely be coming out 100% this year.”

After that moment, which many fans had been eagerly awaiting, the event's host showed a new gameplay teaser (albeit quite brief) that calmed the game's fans a bit. Keighley himself pointed out that this teaser was the first gameplay footage of the title they'd seen in four years.
