Smith County’s proposed budget includes a three percent cost-of-living adjustment for all county workers, including elected officials. “It’s a tough time for taxpayers,” said Smith County Judge Neal Franklin. “It’s a tough time for our employees as they face inflation and all of the things they’re dealing with.
