BREWER -- If you were traveling through Brewer Tuesday, you may have hit a snag on South Main Street.
The busy thruway was closed as crews worked to take down a hazardous tree.
Travelers had to detour from 9 a.m. to 4 P.M. Tuesday afternoon as the work was being done. The tree posed a risk to the roadway, travelers and could certainly have caused problems during winter weather were it to fall on power lines.
The usually busy roadway was closed most of the day and did cause some headaches for the drivers who had to detour around the closure.
