When Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson took the field at the start of tonight’s game against the Chicago White Sox, he played in his 746th consecutive game and broke a tie with Pete Rose for the 12th longest streak in MLB history.

Olson’s streak began while a member of the Oakland Athletics on May 2, 2021. Since joining the Braves prior to the start of the 2022 season, he has played in every game with Atlanta.

Next up on the all-time list is Hall of Famer Nellie Fox at 798 straight games. At 10th all-time is Gus Suhr at 822 games.

Braves great Dale Murphy, who Olson passed last week, played all 740 games during his streak with Atlanta and still hold the Braves record.
