The warm-up is on for Northern California. Temperatures will gradually climb over the next few days leading to a stretch of hot weather that will take us into the weekend.

Wednesday morning will be comfortable with Valley temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s and Foothills temperatures in the low 60s. The afternoon will be noticeably hotter with highs in the upper 90s in the Valley. A couple spots on the west side of the Valley may briefly hit 100 degrees.

Heat will be more widespread starting Thursday. Valley temperatures will peak between 101 and 105 degrees. The Foothills will see afternoon temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.

Temperatures will stay in a similar range for Friday and Saturday. Sunday will only be a few degrees cooler.
