(WPHL) -- A man wanted for the rape of a Penn State Abington student has surrendered to authorities, U.S. Marshals announced.

Abdul-Jabril Cooper, 19, turned himself in to Penn State University Police on Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County.

Cooper is charged with raping a female student in his campus apartment in September 2024. While he was a student at the time of the alleged crime, Cooper has since disenrolled from the university, according to officials.

U.S. Marshals said investigators had allowed Cooper to surrender in the past but had declined. His last known address was in Washington, DC.
