Officers are investigating after a shooting left one person critically injured in Anderson, South Carolina.

Around 11 p.m. Monday, officers with the Anderson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Hudgens Street.

When officers arrived, they found a person who was shot. The victim was airlifted via Life Flight to Greenville Memorial Hospital and remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at this time.

Detectives have identified a person of interest in this case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Authorities said this does not appear to be connected to any other incidents.
