BELTON, Texas — The City of Belton recognized five employees this July with their Customer Service Award.

According to the City, Police Chief Larry Berg, Executive Administrative Assistant to the City Manager Michelle Fogle and firefighters Danny Raines, Reese Jeffries and Jarrod Elpin were all honored for their "exceptional customer service" to different groups.

The City of Belton stated Chief Berg received the award after a group that organized a protest in Downtown Belton sent a card commending the job Berg and his staff did to "help promote peace and safety."

Fogle was honored for organizing an event at Summer Fun water park for employees and their families, the City said.
