Serious injuries are being reported in a crash that happened on Route 9 South in Berlin Tuesday night.

State police said they responded to the area of exit 33 around 7:20 p.m. for a multi-car crash.

The highway was closed in the area but has since reopened.

Troopers said serious injuries were reported. Drivers were asked to take alternate routes.
