MONROE – Brendan Wyatt is off to a terrific start as Bedford’s soccer coach.
He made his debut with a 5-3 victory over arch-rival Monroe on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
“That was great,” Wyatt said. “I am very happy with the way the guys played. They have worked extremely hard throughout the entire summer. We did even more than I expected in the first half.”
Senior Nathan Micua got the Mules rolling with the first two goals of the game. Bryce McCloud made it 3-0 at halftime with the first of his two goals.
Brandon McCloud also scored for Bedford and Jaxon Grochowski and Dylan Strong led the defense.
The Mules snapped a 14-game losing streak against Monroe, dating back six years.
