The baseball team from Sioux Falls stayed alive in the Little League World Series on Aug. 19, defeating Team Northwest, from Bonney Lake, Washington, 9-0 to stave off elimination.
Sioux Falls got on the board early when Murphy Seefeldt scored thanks to a wild pitch in the second inning. The score remained at 1-0 for the majority of the night until the South Dakotans broke things open in the final frame.
In the sixth inning, Sioux Falls scored eight runs to put things out of reach.
The star of the night was pitcher Maxen Snoozy, who struck out 14 hitters in 5.1 innings of action. Tayson White finished off the night in relief to get the final two outs of the game.
With the victory, Sioux Falls is now 2-1 in their time in Williamsport, following a win on Aug. 14 and a loss on Aug. 18. The
