An ongoing exhibition is commemorating the 35th anniversary of Recology San Francisco’s artist residency , which is housed in and sources materials from the waste-management company’s 47-acre facility at The City’s southeastern edge.
“Art/Education/Community — 35 Years at Recology AIR” is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Aug. 30 at Dogpatch’s Minnesota Street Project . The admission-free exhibition at 1275 Minnesota St. includes the work of resident artists from the last five years, screenings of films and videos from the program’s 1990 founding onward, as well as pieces from student artists, program board members and staff who participated in the residency. The nonprofit Creativity Explored will also display its pieces.
