Aug. 26 will mark 30 years since Kentucky woman Heather Teague was abducted from Newburgh Beach

Eleven days before the 30th anniversary of her daughter’s disappearance, Sarah Teague received an email she hoped she would never get.

It came on Aug. 15, from the U.S. District Court of Western Kentucky. The lawsuit Teague had filed against Kentucky State Police and the FBI stemming from her daughter’s case had been dismissed, it said.

She filed the lawsuit last summer, accusing both agencies of conspiracy to interfere with civil rights; failure to train and supervise their officers and agents; negligence; wrongful death; and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
