SOPHIE Cunningham has leaped to the defence of her sister after she was attacked on social media.

The WNBA star's sister Lindsey and her mom Paula both slammed the league last week.

They took exception to a play where the Indiana Fever star was injured.

Cunningham collided with Connecticut Sun player Bria Hartley.

She received the devastating news this week that she'll be out for the remainder of the season.

After Cunningham's injury in Sunday's game, her family was left furious.

Her sister Lindsey posted on X: "WNBA maybe you should focus less on fining players for commenting on your poor officiating & more about hiring officials that are able to call a consistent game and protect your athletes. Pathetic."
