While official minutes from Tuesday night’s council meeting have not yet been released, sources say Mayor Pro Tem Ryan Smith introduced the motion, which was supported by a majority of council members.

The action comes in the wake of a recent investigative report alleging Jones violated her oath of office by assuming control of city bank accounts.
