The disgraced former BBC News anchor, Huw Edwards , has been spotted clutching bottles of prosecco amidst claims that he's yet to repay his BBC salary. ‌

Edwards, 64, was seen for the first time in six months, sporting a drastically different appearance. Last year, Edwards pleaded guilty to three counts of creating indecent images of children and has seldom been seen in public – he was last photographed vaping in February. ‌

Half a year later, the shamed news anchor was captured with a significantly altered look, holding miniature bottles of prosecco on his birthday earlier this week, in pictures that have been obtained by the Mirror . ‌

The ex-BBC presenter was snapped with a new, short white stubbly beard and glasses with a broad black trim as he stepped out.
