MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A crash in Germantown early Wednesday morning left a pedestrian seriously injured, officials said.

Details are limited; however, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said responders were called to the crash at Frederick Road and Ridge Road at around 7:30 p.m.

There, they found a pedestrian who had been struck, sustaining serious injuries.

As a result of the crash, some lanes in the area were blocked. At this time, it is unclear how many vehicles were involved.
