A local event designed to support the Cheboygan County Humane Society is set for Saturday, Aug. 23.

The Walks, Wags and Wiggles community fundraiser is organized by the Leadership Cheboygan Class of 2025 and will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Cheboygan County Fairgrounds, according to a community announcement.

The Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce also supports this event, which features a variety of family-friendly activities for all ages. Planned activities include a community dance with live DJ entertainment, a treasure hunt, an ice cream social, a family photo booth, face painting, cornhole, a bounce house and additional attractions. Food trucks and other food vendors are expected to be available throughout the evening.
