The national government launched the "Scientific and Technological Plan for Cocoa" in the state of Portuguesa, to continue recording participatory research experiences and systematizing information on cocoa production in the country.

The raid on the production units took place in the Argimiro Gabaldón sector of the Sucre municipality in Portuguesa state, the Ministry of National Insurance (MINCYT) reported in a press release.

This initiative seeks to merge scientific knowledge with the experience of local producers to strengthen the country's agricultural independence. In addition, trials are being conducted to test the viability of strategies that improve genetics, foster good agroecological practices, and boost production in the region.
