Food bank tour: Tour the current and future sites of the Vashon-Maury Community Food Bank with the food bank’s executive director and board members. RSVP by contacting minta@vashonfoodbank.org, and plan to meet at the current food bank location at 10030 SW 210th St, behind the Sea Mar Clinic. Upcoming tour dates include Thursday, Aug. 21 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 9 from 3 – 4:30 p.m.

Flea Market: Vashon Eagles hosts their second outdoor flea market from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 23. It will include vendors of all kinds and hidden treasures from plants to jewelry to tools to clothing and more. Artists John Browne, Ron Hook and Kat Eggleston will perform from 1-3 p.m., and food vendors will serve up meals. The market has room for 30 vendors, with some spo
