Vernon Kay said “don’t do that” as he appeared to make a U-turn on his BBC Radio 2 show. It came as the Horwich-born radio presenter told fans there was a “big football game” taking place tonight (August 20).

Vernon’s beloved Bolton Wanderers will be preparing to host Reading at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in their League One clash. On his show, Vernon joked that fans of The Trotters could pop in and see his mum and dad before the clash.
