WAMPUM, Pa. - Mines and Meadows, an ATV resort in Lawrence County, has received a $149,200 grant from Pennsylvania for trail maintenance and construction. The funding is part of a $2.1 million investment across Pennsylvania by the state's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Mines and Meadows, located at 1307 Old Route 18, will use the grant for equipment to maintain and construct 84 miles of trails for all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides. The resort operates on 877 acres of land and offers access to underground riding in a former limestone mine.

The DCNR's statewide grant program supports nine projects intended to expand and improve recreational trails and facilities.
