ST. CLOUD — After 18 years of marriage and five kids, Kim Voigt’s life changed in an instant when her husband, James Loch, died by suicide on July 19, 2016.

"It completely changed my own identity," Voigt told St. Cloud LIVE during a phone call. "I was no longer a wife, and I was now a single mom."

Her oldest child was about 15 or 16 years old at the time of Loch’s death.

Loch had struggled with some mental health issues, and in the week leading up to his death, “he just kind of spiraled,” Voigt said.
